1. July is National Anti-Boredom Month. When was the last time you were bored? What's your go-to cure for boredom?
Hmm. I can get restless, is that the same as bored? Usually the restlessness stems from being in the house alone too long so the cure is to get outta the house! Ha.
2. What's the last thing you made a reservation for?
I suppose it would be for dinner downtown. Nothing too exciting.
3. What's one thing on your summer 'bucket list'? Any plans to make it happen?
I don't technically have a summer bucket list but there are things that NEED to happen. Such as making sure X has his law school living arrangements all figured out. Our new yard guy spread bark dust last week so I checked that off the 'list.'
4. What's your favorite summertime sip?
My favorite sip doesn't really change with the seasons but if we're talking about sitting poolside, I enjoy a tall glass of lemonade with crushed ice.
5. What do you find is the best way to handle another person's hostility and hopefully ease the tension?
I can't say that I even recall being around a hostile person/situation but I think if I did encounter such an instance I believe that if possible I'd remove myself from said situation and if I couldn't walk away then I'd likely try to defray the angst with humor.
I have been known to say . . . "we're not saving children here, people" which does wonders for making people take a minute to adjust their thinking, put things into prospective and basically readjust their attitude.
6. Your favorite film set in summer?
Hmm. Grease, Parenthood, Dirty Dancing . . . they're all good ones.
7. What word are you using too much lately?
Good question. Let me ask . . . hold please . . .
From X: Don't know.
From Miss K.A.: "Cute" and then followed it up with "Hmm"
I did not ask the Hubby as he is in Dallas for a couple of days and I'm thinking he would not think it would warrant an email or a response for that matter. Ha.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
Last night while taking the pup out for his last potty break of the evening (usually the Hubby's task) I inadvertently let a frog in the house.
Let me give you a second to let that sink in.
Frog. In. The. House.
Uh, yeah. Said frog was sitting on the threshold of the door and before I could register what it was and take evasive action, it scooted right under the door and inside! Oh jeez! I called X downstairs and with his help - well, kind of - I told him to watch it while I tried to find something to catch it without actually touching it. Ick.
Now, if the Hubby or B were home they both would have tried to catch it with their bare hands. Not me. Or X for that matter. He did state, it wasn't going to hurt me but he didn't make a move to touch it either.
Anyway, I trapped it under the lid of a roasted chicken take out container and then slid a document sleeve under that and viola! Caught the little bugger and released it back outside. Aren't I all clever and handy. That was a statement, not a question. I mean, who'da thought a document sleeve could come in so handy like that!
I went to bed thinking boy I'm glad I decided to grab that roasted chicken for dinner . . . knowing that it's not one of X's favorite things but I couldn't
And that folks, has rocketed to the top of the excitement gauge for the summer so far here at the Castle.
I mean . . . who's bored now?
Hmm?

I'd have done something similar. Ick!! Your story reminded me of the time hubs and I went out for dinner and came home to find a tupperware container upside down in the middle of the staircase. The girls had gone to bed, but there was a note by the container saying-Spider inside. I let hubs deal with that. My girls still laugh hysterically at my accidentally picking up a dead hedgehog from our pond. It looked like a big leaf. To this day they send me anything hedgehog related that they find online. I can laugh about it now, but I don't find hedgehogs cute anymore.
We had a frog hang out right outside our garage door. The dog could have cared less and stepped on it without even registering it was a frog. So my husband finally took it down to the pond to set it free.
We occasionally get those little green geikos in the house. They are harmless but I know they want to be back outdoors. so, I use a piece of tupperware and its lid. I catch it with the tupperware, and then slide the lid under it carefully and carry the little guy out to a bush.
We just caught a moth in the house the other day with 2 styrofoam cups and set it free outside. We pick up toads in our yard with our hands so none of us would have hesitated to pick up the frog and bring it outside. Now if the frog was big I might get a little squeamish but the little ones don't bother me.
