Hodepodging on into summer . . .
1. June 23rd is National Pink Day. What's your favorite something pink?
Hmm. Good question. I'm not a huge fan of pink in general. A darker or deeper pink is preferred. That said, I do love the soft prettiness of pink peonies. Oh, and a pretty rose champagne. Tee Hee
2. What did you enjoy most about gym class when you were in school? How about the least?
I enjoyed absolutely nothing about gym class. Nothing. Does that surprise anyone? I thought not. The least? The list is long.
3. What memory is brought to mind by the smell of roses?
No specific memory. Probably just thoughts of the Hubby. He used to bring me roses. Now he knows me better and brings a bright spring mix. He's intuitive like that. And sweet. And indulgent. And I love him.
4. Do you prefer to read or write?
I'd say read.
5. Sam Keen is quoted as saying, 'Deep summer is when laziness finds respectability.' Would you agree? Is laziness ever respectable? How will you be lazy this summer?
Sure, I'd agree. Summertime is for recuperating. Recuperating is respectable.
Personally, I consider myself lazy when I take
6. The Florida Keys, Disney World, or a resort somewhere on the Gulf Coast...which Florida destination would you choose (and why) if the trip were today?
I have no urge whatsoever to go to Florida. However, for the sake of answering the question, I'd say Disney World - Epcot. I mean, I suppose it's not it's fault it's in Florida. Ha.
7. What question do you hate to answer?
What's for dinner?
8. Insert your own random thought here.
We (as in Portland) are about to be hit with a heat wave of record breaking proportions.
I don't mind the heat. As I said before, I have the blessing of air conditioning. However, I dread the hot, hot dry July 4th holiday. I'm not a fan of the personal fireworks that people let off in the neighborhoods. Call me Granny, but they make me nervous. Especially when we've had such a dry season so far. Not to mention the dog is a nervous wreck!

Had to chuckle at your Florida answer. I live on the Gulf Coast and absolutely love it here. I will say that five years ago, when my family went on an Alaskan Cruise and spent some time in Seattle, I was impressed with that part of the country. The temperature was divine that July when we were there. The scenery took our breaths away as well.
What's for dinner is something we no longer hear, or maybe I hear it and it no longer bothers me since we started cooking our way through a recipe book.
I love the Gulf Coast of Florida and would take a trip there right about now. It's crazy here on many levels. We were without a.c. for three days here and realized its no longer a luxury, but a necessity. Everyone is cranky without it : ) Enjoy your weekend and some rose champagne!
I'm lucky that my husband does a lot of our cooking so it's often me asking what's for dinner. Wow not sure I could cope with that heat. Definitely a time to be lazy. :)
